#76: Ride or walk in Ride the Drive.

I haven’t abandoned my Day Zero project, I promise! May was just a bad month for blogging, both here and at my books blog. But I’m back from a vacation refreshed and ready to start blogging again.

Today I finished one of my goals, to participate in Ride the Drive, a twice-yearly event in Madison where the city shuts down many of the major roads to cars and let’s bikers take to the streets. Erin (of “A Day in New Glarus” fame) and I met at 10 a.m. and made two complete laps of the six-mile loop. I quit after that, but for all I know Erin is still out there being hardcore.

I’m not much of a biker, but the event includes people of all athletic abilities, which is one of the nice things about it. I’d write more, but I think pictures are more fun.

Lunch! A banana, bottle of water, and hot dog for $3.

I promise to write soon about some other tasks I’ve complete, with lots more pictures!
